If you haven’t watched Avatar the Last Airbender (if you’re a writer do yourself a favor and binge-watch it, the storytelling is outstanding), there’s a scene where one of the characters says

“forgiveness is basically doing nothing”

and another replies “doing nothing is easy, forgiving is hard”.
